Workhorse Drovers Coat in Black

  • As the name implies, this is our work horse, all meat and potatoes. We used our 12oz traditional MicroWax oilcloth with a corduroy collar, a draw cord waist, two large bottom flapped patch pockets, and double storm plackets. We threw on a detachable cape for added protection, dropped in a back fantail and riding straps and added adjuster tabs to the cuffs. Inside, we printed a stencil map of Australia on the upper cotton buggy lining so you wouldn't get lost on the way to work,  and like all our drovers coats include the usual two built-in internal security pockets and a button-in liner facility for optional liners.

    Understanding MicroWax
Products made using our MicroWax cloth are as tough as they come - 100% waterproof, windproof & breathable. Since the blend is not water soluble, any incidence of water to touch it simply runs straight off. The use of a super tight weave of cotton canvas ensures that it is completely windproof. The breathability arises from the fabric's crystalline structure which varies and aligns with an increase of body heat, thereby allowing sweat in the form of water vapour to escape.

To clean your MicroWax oilcloth garment, simply wipe or hose down with tepid water, then hang to dry in a cool, well ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

Do NOT use hot water, machine wash or dry clean. Don't use any soap or detergents and don't force dry in front of any heat source.

Oilcloth garments should be reproofed every 2-3 years depending on wear, using Kakadu's MicroWax Reproofing Cream.
